This post comes from our clients and friends, Catarina and Dorival, proud owners of The Luthier, a stunning Samoa 34 sailboat they built themselves. Their journey aboard has taken them to some of the world’s most mesmerizing destinations, eventually bringing them to Australia:
“Tasmania: a faraway place. We go to Hobart, a Tasmania city located at 43 degrees latitude. We have an appointment between February 7 and 10, 2025. An Australian guy we met in Vanuatu told us about the Australian Wooden Boat Festival, in Hobart, the bigger one in the southern hemisphere, with tall ships show, regattas and parties, but warned that only classic boats are selected for display. We decided to take a risk and, surprisingly, we were selected! Our boat designer, Luis Gouveia, from B&G Yacht Design, Perth, AU, will be there. Besides raising the party flags, the Portugal flag will be raised, it explains a lot about the boat. It will be a great party, for all kind of boats. Go, if possible! See you!”
